Prophetic Omen

To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour
-William Blakes’ Auguries of Innocence

-Interpretation mine

Auguries of Innocence written by William Blakes who died in 1827. The work was published in 1863. To quote the interpretation of Auguries of Innocence, “Auguries of Innocence is a collection of conflicting situations written as a kind of prophetic judgement. It pits the innocent against the mature, the rich against the poor, the elite against the underprivileged, and invites the audience to recognize the fragile beauty and balance found within nature.
